Capital Tour – Scandinavia is an exciting journey that lets you explore the iconic capitals of Northern Europe and experience their unique culture, history, and modern lifestyle. This tour offers a perfect blend of stunning architecture, royal heritage, vibrant city life, and scenic surroundings, with each capital presenting its own character and memorable experiences.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive & Pvt Transfer to Helsinki Hotel

Arrival at Gardermoen, Oslo Airport and transfer to hotel, check in and take rest.

Evening proceed for Hop on – Hop Off Bus Helsinki

A bus sightseeing tour around the city where you hop on and off as much as you like. The tour takes you to the top sights of Helsinki, such as the Sibelius monument and the Rock Church.

The route is carefully chosen, we have 19 stops along the route. The ticket is valid 24 or 48 hours by your choice. The tour is guided in 10 different languages through individual, single-used headsets.

 

Evening Midsummer Cruises

Enjoy the White Night on Midsummer’s Eve! An important feature of the Midsummer in Finland is the White Night and the midnight sun.

 

Popular Midsummer Cruises on Friday 19.6.2020.Departure point Market Square, by the yellow flags. During the cruise you’ll have a chance to see an impressive bonfire of Seurasaariisland. Cafeteria/bar on board serves refreshments and snacks.

 

Dinner at Indian restaurant, back to hotel, overnights stay.

Day 2: Helsinki-Guided Tour

Post breakfast proceed for Guided tour. Guided tour and marvel at attractions such as the Sibelius Monument and Esplanade Park. Take the ferry to Suomenlinna and explore the islands of the sea fortress on foot.

See the monument to the composer Jean Sibelius and explore the promenade of Esplanade Park. Go to Old Market Hall, and admire the largest orthodox church in western Europe at the Uspenski Orthodox Cathedral.

Then, catch the ferry to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Suomenlinna sea fortress. Upon arrival, walk to the King’s Gate and see the church built for the Russian troops. Visit the barracks and the Great Courtyard, where the memorial tomb of AugustinEhrensvärd was designed by King Gustav III of Sweden.

Day 3: Helsinki-Half day tour to Porvoo

Post breakfast proceed for half day Tour to Porvoo.

Join this guided half-day trip from Helsinki to the idyllic town of Porvoo with its well-preserved wooden houses and picturesque cobble-stoned streets.

Tour is live guided in English and starts and ends in Helsinki city center. Tour includes guide and transport during the whole tour, a guided walk in Porvoo and some free time. During the guided walk in Porvoo you will get familiar with the Old Town of Porvoo and the beautiful medieval cathedral. There will be some free time for a cup of coffee and a walk in the old town with delightful shops and craftsmen’s workshops.

Day 4: Helsinki/ Stockholm-Overnight Ferry

Post breakfast, day at leisure, evening transfer to Helsinki Ferry terminal and c/in ferry for Stockholm transfer.

Day 5: Stockholm

Arrival at Stockholm-Ferry Terminal & transfer to hotel, check in and take rest.

Spend the rest of the day exploring the beautiful city. Stroll the well-known street Drottninggatan where you can shop, take photos and feel the relaxed vibe of the capital city.

Day 6: Stockholm-Stockholm Archipelago Sailing Day Tour

Spend the day on a yacht in Stockholm’s scenic archipelago during this full-day excursion from Vaxholm. All hands are on deck as you help steer and crew the ship yourself under the direction of an expert skipper. Disembark on a picturesque island to explore its rocky shores and swim in the bracing ocean. Enjoy a traditional Swedish lunch on board the boat. No sailing experience is necessary to enjoy this day on the water, and all equipment is provided.

Day 7: Stockholm / Kalmar-- A Slice of The Swedish Countryside

Drive the scenic route along the Lake Vättern, stopping in Gränna where striped candy canes were invented 1859. Visit one of the confectionery shops and see how this delicious candy is made. Next, drive through the scenic Swedish province of Småland towards the city of Kalmar where you will find the Kingdom of Crystal (Glasriket). Here you can find over 50 glassworks factories and shops, many of which are open to visitors and offer unique hand-blown glass souvenirs in all shapes and colors. End the day in Kalmar, a town full of history, featuring well-preserved 17 and 18 century buildings and the Kalmar Castle, which dates back over 800 years.

 

Spend the night in Kalmar.

Day 8: Kalmar/Copenhagen

Post breakfast proceed for Copenhagen, day free.

Evening can enjoy Segway Tour

 

Make the most of your limited time in Copenhagen and cover far more ground than would be possible on foot on this Segway tour. Ideal for visitors who have trouble walking long distances, this small-group tour (limited to 10 people) takes you to such sites as the Little Mermaid statue, Christiansborg Palace, Old Royal Stock Exchange, and Amalienborg Palace as your guide offers context and little-known details along the way.

Day 9: Copenhagen-Grand Day Trip Around Copenhagen

Post breakfast proceed for Grand Day Trip around Copenhagen.

It’s all castles and cathedrals. Head out of Copenhagen for the day on this guided small-group tour, visiting UNESCO World Heritage-listed Kronborg Castle, the sitting for Shakespeare’s Hamlet, and then Frederiksborg Castle, the largest Renaissance-era castle in Scandinavia. After a tour of the fortresses head to stunning Roskilde Cathedral, the burial spot for numerous kings and queens. Finally, finish the tour at the Viking Ship Museum. This small-group tour is limited to just 16 people or fewer.

Day 11: Gothenburg/ Oslo-Evening Cruise

Post Breakfast proceed for Oslo. C/in Hotel and experience the evening Cruise.

Evening proceed for Cruise Experience. Spend an evening aboard a wooden sailboat in Oslo, and sail around the waters of Oslo Fjord. A great way to see the waterfront sights as the sun goes down, this 3-hour boat cruise follows a route past Akershus Fortress, Oslo Opera House and more. Cruise around the pretty islets of the fjord, and enjoy a snack of shrimps as you go.

Day 12: OSLO-Oslo Sightseeing-GRAND TOUR (05 HRS)

See all the sights of Oslo on this 5 hour tour and enjoy the view of the Oslo fjord from the Holmenkollen.

This tour gives you an overall view of Oslo. Passing through the city centre with its majestic main street Karl Johan, you will see the Royal Palace, Parliament, Oslo City Hall, Akershus Fortress and Castle and the lively harbour. At Holmenkollen Ski Jump you will enjoy a fabulous view. You will visit the Vigeland Sculpture Park and The Viking Ship Museum. We visit The Fram museum, where you can see the polar ship: Fram. Fram is the strongest vessel in the world and was used for three arctic expeditions. Fram was built in 1892 and is exhibited with original interior and objects. The Kon-Tiki museum will be the last attraction on this complete tour. You will see the vessels from Thor Heyerdahl’s expeditions, the original Kon-Tiki balsa-wood raft and the papyrus boat RA II, which are displayed at the Kon-Tiki museum.
